In my experience if your smoking in your backyard and you cant be seen from the street you are relatively safe. They can knock on your door and try to talk to you but there is an easy way around that.
Since the smell could be coming from anyhere they cant do much unless they actually see you smoking, but odds are if they smell it they will probably look for you.

| The way I figure it. they have better things to do. they smell pot the worst thing i belive they can do is keep you your house and you surroundings on more notice. |

Welcome to the forum!
I imagine if they can isolate the source of smell to a particular residence, the next step would be the "knock and talk" or watch the area and pull "random" traffic stops on visitors. An informant would then tell them if its worth the trouble. It might get their attention.
Barry was pretty Gung-Ho as Narc, he discusses these types of tactics in his videos as pretty routine.
I would say its a possibility worth considering. I'm careful where my smoke goes.  |

that is what I like about using a dug out one hitter,they are virtually odorless,but also capped pipes are pretty good  |

If you're that worried about it...
When I was in the... 5th or 6th grade, a kid on my bus would always smoke in the morning, and he used a toilet paper roll, stuffed with fabric softener sheets, and he'd just exhale through that, and no one could smell it.
he did this almost every morning, I'd imagine the roll would last a while too...

| there is not that much discernible smell in the exhaled air,I have been pulled over for speeding,after just hitting one,and never even questioned about the smell |

In my experience cops dont really care if they smell pot in a neighborhood. If they see you walking and smoing they will arrest you but other than that i dotn think they do much.
For about 2 years of high school me and my friends would always walk the same pattern and smoke on the same streets. So would many other people. I bet around lunch time the whole place would smell like smoke. Cops drive by sometimes (i guess when there bored) To arrest a high school kid or two.
My point is that cops know people smoke pot. it probably always smells around there around lunch time. But the cops dont send any more patrols there than normal or they dont go there by themselves even though they know people smoke there. |
