DURANT, OK — A 23-year-old man is accused of eating marijuana to hide it from the cops. That’s what Durant police say 23-year-old Tony Pelayo did early Sunday morning.
Durant police were called to the Shady Brook Apartments on North 7th Street for a loud party. When officers arrived, they say they found two marijuana joints, which Pelayo quickly took. When asked by officers to hand them over, Pelayo said he couldn’t because he ate the evidence. He then proceeded to show police a leafy green smile.
Pelayo was arrested for destroying evidence.

Wow this guy is a real smart one, lets look at what he did wrong.
1. He let the cops see the cannabis before he ate it
2. He admits to eating it
3. He act's like a smartass, cops really hate that.
As for which is worse possession or destroying evidence, I have no idea. |

Reminds me of the time I was on all fours picking shrooms in Victoria in the mid '80s. Y'know, bag a few, eat one, and so on, and so on, till I noticed patent leather shoes, yellow-striped pantlegs, etc, etc. I just looked up grinning with a mushroom hanging out of my mouth.
Funny thing is, picking shrooms had just recently become illegal. |
