judging by your signature your a cop and a patriot and not a very happy one at that..your posts seem sarcastic at best but your intentions to me doesnt seem to be the same as most on this board,,maybe im wrong.
you give off the impression that your a very intelligent guy,,so why dont you do us a favor and introduce yourself to the board here. i think your knowledge can be very beneficial if used in a constructive manner. sarcastic remarks are definately allowed..hell im as guilty as anyone..but this is an anti-prohibition board,,so where do you stand on the subject and why.
just telling someone dont commit crimes is good info but crimes ARE being committed because the GOVT isnt legalizing an herb that we (most on this board) feel should be legal.
so tell me,,what do you stand for on the subject of prohibition? Do you want to be taken serious on here or do you really not care? i would expect better behavior from a cop,but you sarcasm does confirm the mentality we work to protect ourselves from.
you seem like the minority that good cops despise because you give them a bad reputation.
am i wrong?

sharpend43:
I have spent the better part of my adult life as a cop, almost 20 yrs. I am a former narc and now mostly a trainer. I teach con law, patrol procedures, and defensive tactics for my PD.
Mostly I heard about this site and wanted to see if it was for real. I am always looking to learn.
As far as prohibition, like I said in one post, I am against it. I have seen the illicit profits that marijuana, yes marijuana, generates and how the money is used. Trust me when I tell you it aint good. |

Down by the border where i can literally see how the profits of selling marijuana are used (high powered machine guns and hitmen)
The sad thing is that when a cop dies as a result of this they use it as propaganda to expand the war on drugs. Instead of cutting the head of the beast and take away the mexican mafias spending money. |

ahh hell,,you were probably just bored.
with the countries dollar in such bad shape and falling in value like a rock..legalizing marijuana would revitalize the economy in great ways.
at what cost? marijuana has never killed anyone. it would or easily could pay for all the housing that is being foreclosed on across the country and fix the credit card crunch this country is in,(that we are all going to pay for),this countries economy is going in the drain. why dont we keep that money going to illicit profits and turn them positive. |

Take the supply out of the hands of Mexican Cartels and put it in the hands of the American Farmer. Who by the way is heavily subsidized by the govt in order to live.

this is the rub isnt it. this is where i disagree. Most of you on here see marijuana as a 'good' drug.
It doesnt hurt anyone yadda yadda yadda....... Correct?
Well I have to say thats not true. People who are high get into car accidents, have industrial accidents, and both I have seen kill people. This is in addition to all the random crime, burglaries, shootings, home-invasions that dealers etc do to each other. This I have seen first hand. The illicit profits create motive for countless shootings and murders. this I have witnessed first hand.
So I agree in part, marijuana is not as physically addictive as say meth or heroin, but to say it doesnt harm anyone is not true. |

ok, if the majority of folks in the US want to legalize it then do it.
I am a public servant and I do get it.
I serve the will of the people. I have the the privilige of defending all your rights, not just mine.
if the congress legalized marijuana tommorrow, it would change things, I agree. But right now I dont think that will happen. I couldnt support it.
But if that was the law of the land, i would do my duty.
But the above poster, you dont get it. You just shrug off the reality of 'dope money'. its big money and people get testy over big , unregulated money.
To say I dont get it, is such a bad answer, I do get it. i see the blood and the destroyed families and kids. Do you??? |

when you say, ok i understand legalize it. then you say, we just shrug off the reality of 'DOPE MONEY', your meaning of 'DOPE MONEY' IS COCAINE, METH, CRACK, HERION thats the real 'DOPE' here, not marijuana. i guess the whole country of THE NETHERLANDS should be put in jail. or the people that the US federal gov. deliver marijuana to at there pharmacys in tin cans monthly like IRVE ROSENFILD. or the people of 12 great states who voted yes to medical marijuana i guess keep arresting them too. again, you dont get it, legelize it and the big value will be almost nothing. why pay for tomatos when you can make a garden.
i am very sorry if this offends anyone, it is not ment to.

Blood and destroyed families over smoking? get real! When has a potsmoker ever done anything violent that was caused by smoking?
The only violence I've seen is due to the black market caused by prohibition.
So kids are hurt by pot? Another lie created to keep the sheeple afraid of the potwolf. In my life the kids around me were harmed by alcohol, pills, and guns. We smoked a lot, nobody died from that.
If you're going to make bullshit claims you had better back them up with specifics and not generalities.
Also most of America has lost total interest in the political system. As long as a majority of senior citizens (who have drank the drug war cool-aid) vote, and realistic people refuse to vote or are too busy, (look up the stats on who votes) we will have an imbalance of representation. |
