So we have all seen them. These commercials portraying rediculous situations involving the use of marijuana. Just a few minutes ago I had seen the commercial involving a guy recieving a phone call from a buddy of his. He rambles on about how he didn't know how he got home last night, and apparently he messed around with his buddies girlfriend the night before. Even though they don't flat out say it. Then it comes..... "I was soooo high" They can't be serious. I've smoked marijuana for 12 years now and never once have I ever been close to blacking out. Ok so this is just one..... on to the next.
According to another commercial all us pot smokers apparently bust out a caccoon of pot and poof...we magically see our future of being fat, 40, and living with the parents. Ok, anyone who lives with there parents past the age of 19 less an emergency, has no reason to be there. It's not the pot making someone want to live at home and mooch off the parents. It's the dumb idiot who wasn't raised right and feels he needs a free ride in life. It's amazing to me that this kind of vision of the "pot smoker" is imprinted on americans every day.
This is not information. This is PROPOGANDA! (funny only evil countries use this, not the good ole' USA...right?) These so-called facts that our government tries to throw at us are so far fetched I don't know whether it's ignorance or just plain old stupidity.
I work a solid job, live in my own residence, have a gorgeous girlfriend and two of the most kick-arse cats I have ever known. I served honorably in the military recieving many decorations and awards. I got money in my pocket. I'm your flat out american guy... no bullshit, no games. If you met me out in public you would never know that I smoke. Yet the government portrays me as some scum of the earth sleezeball. I'll call there bullshit and raise them 10......
regards,

The worst that has happened to me in 30 years of toking, as Brute said, smoked too much and passed out.and once smoked a whole fat one off the best I ever had, stayed completely aware, but couldn't move a muscle for about 3 1/2 hours, and didn't come down enough to go home for about 6 |

besides getting tired and obtaining the munchies,,the only other thing i can think of is experiencing slight paranoia from time to time,,,but i would have to say this paranoia was 100% GOVT induced paranoia because i know without a doubt if marijuana was legalized tomorrow i would never have any reason to be paranoid at any time.
those commercials are one of the craziest things i have ever seen and i cant believe money is wasted on that crap. |

I remember that! Wasn't that Reagan era?
They are such exaggerations at best and downright lies at worst.
Remember when some of the 80's rockers who got busted had to do anti-drug commercials? I remember one with Motley Crue. They were soo baked. |

Ditto.
I can say one thing for the French, Their Government is scared of its citizenry. Rightly so.
Ours used to be by us, for us. Now its in spite of us and against us. |
